Marilyn’s Background
- Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Landscape Architecture ISU College of Design
- Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning ISU College of Design
- Taught classes in Garden Design and Garden Construction – Horticulture Department at Iowa State University
- Wrote the Residential Design component for the Iowa Master Gardener’s workbook
- Enjoyed working 20+ years with clients in designing and developing projects for public and private use
Marilyn and her husband, Jim, are now retied and living in Holmen. Marilyn enjoys sharing her design knowledge and expertise with homeowners, teaching them to enhance their property, maximize the use of their space and minimize maintenance.
Bring a good pencil, eraser, a scale or 12 inch ruler and some paper (graph paper if you have some) to participate in some design exercises. If you want to draw your landscape to scale and bring your drawing we can work on it together!
